Lesson Two Acceptance

We all go through hardships and might have heard the words: never give up,always another way, there’s hope. Well at some point all of us have to know enough is enough.

Acceptance is a difficult concept to understand. Knowing that you have to be okay with how things are and just giving up or letting go. Whether it’s in relationships and you have to let your partner go and stop fighting or it’s at a funeral of a loved one who passed away and you can’t let go of them or the memories you made.

Even though it’s sad and difficult we all have to know when to give up. We shouldn’t put ourselves through all the guilt ,depression and sadness just because we let go.We are only going to make things difficult for ourselves and make life complicated. It’s never easy to admit defeat ,but we each have to make great sacrifices for the greater good or for the beautiful things in life. It might be difficult to understand but to lose the war will bring peace to world.

What I’m trying to say is you can’t get everything your way every time and just because you don’t succeed doesn’t mean you should have to beat yourself up. I experienced this in my life but I was fortunate enough to have a friend to speak to who helped me realise that it was okay to give up. Just because things did not go your way or reach your expectations does not mean you should be depressed. You should not give up on life just because of one mishap. Its okay to give up and move forward with life without making any inconvenience for someone else.

I’m not saying it wont hurt ,it definitely will but you should always look towards the end goal.If it’s someone you love or care about ,you would want to see them happy and not mopping around and being depressed just because you dont want to let them go.If you were mourning about the dead ,be considerate of them because they want you to mourn but you need to move on with life and not let them put it on hold.

I’m not saying this will happen immediately but acceptance will help you in the long run as it allows you to move on with your life and not put it on hold. It is a positive thing not only for yourself but other as well. It is like a double-edged sword. You have to give up on the things you cherish most to open up to more room for growth and opportunity.
