We all want to go through life carefree and want to have no worries or responsibility. We do try to turn a blind eye on the consequences that are coming our way. While we think this is the cool thing to do ,its not. We should hold our accountable for our own actions.
Today, On the first of February I learnt it the hard way and I’m probably the worst human being alive if I can even call myself human. Was so irresponsible enough to leave a 4 week old puppy alone at home while I enjoyed hanging with my friends. When I got back she was missing and I tried telling myself it’s not my fault ,while I should’ve kept myself accountable and should’ve told my friends that it was fine and that I would stay.
A warm hearted, and adventurous pup went missing on my name and under my supervision. I am the one who was suppose to take care of my dog and me just knowing the fact that she doesn’t like being alone, shakes me to my core thinking of what fear he must’ve been going through.
People might tell you that it wasnt your fault or that you couldn’t have done anything shouldnt mean that you shouldnt keep yourself accountable. You should stand up and take responsibility for actions no matter if you did it directly or indirectly. You were the one that chose to be careless or just what as it happened so you should keep yourself accountable and whoever might be with you. It happened on your watch. Even if it didnt turn out as bad as you thought ,it could be worse and we shouldnt allow there to be next times cause next time it wont be the same.
We should forgive ourselves and rather not think how hard it was for us to lose but to look forward and ensure that we are better. That we dont allow the same thing happen to others. We shouldnt be the ones that just stand by as things continue the way they are if we know that they are bad.We shouldnt just stand by and look the other way and rather take responsibility for what happens no matter how dangerous it looks or how bad it sounds we should take that stand cause no one will.
We should keep ourselves accountable for what happens around us.
